Townhome-Style Living
Riverwalk Point I, Spokane, WA (completed 2004) : An ambitious undertaking by the owner – Spokane Neighborhood Action Program – this project consisted of creating 73,000 SF of new low-income housing in five three-story buildings with 53 individual units, each varying from 650-SF one-bedroom plans to 1,200-SF four-bedroom designs. With a desire to break from the multi-family housing norm, the owner wanted each unit to have some individuality. The building was therefore staggered to give the illusion of many separate units. Each was given a distinct paint and roof color, and individual front and back porches were included.
